As a life-long native of Sterling, CO, Rick Jackson was raised on the family farm. His parents, Perry and Donna Jackson taught him the true meaning of “work ethic and honesty”.

Rick has been married to his wife, Mikki, for 46 years. They have two grown children, Cory Jackson and wife Meghan and Raegen Alvarado and husband Joe. Each have blessed them with two girls and a boy. The six grandkids ranging in age from 7-17, are the pride of their lives! When not at one of the grandkid’s numerous softball, basketball, volleyball, or football games, he enjoys snowmobiling with friends and family along with attending Viper Car Club events.

Rick has been an active member of the community serving on bank boards, NJC College Foundation and local conservation boards and service organizations.

With 40 plus years in the insurance industry, he prides himself in understanding the community and the protection people want and need.

Born and raised in Sterling, Colorado, Cory Jackson grew up on his family’s farm and ranch. Cory studied Business at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO before attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK. Following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps, Cory began a life in insurance wanting to help people understand their insurance products. Considering himself an “insurance crusader” rather than a salesman is what has driven him to provide top level service for over 20 years.

Cory is an active member of the community and facilitates a 10-week parenting class at the local Family Resource Center for fathers each year, as well as being an active member of the church. His passion is his family and spending as much time as he can with his wife and 3 children. Whether it is helping them with 4-H animals, homework, or playing catch, family is his nucleus.

Tara Fredregill began her insurance career with the Jackson Agency in April 2006. She started as a licensed CSR and became the Office Manager in 2015.  She was the recipient of the 2013 FUSA CSR of the Year award. With over 27 years of customer service experience, she prides herself on providing first-rate service to our customers every day. She is licensed in Property & Casualty, Life & Health, and Crop Insurance.  Tara says, “one of the most rewarding aspects of this job is sitting down with current, new, and potential customers to help them understand the coverages we offer.”

Tara is a 3^rd generation resident of Sterling and can’t imagine raising her family anywhere else. She received an AA in Criminal Justice in 2008 and has since used her love of education to further develop her passion for insurance.  Tara’s greatest passion in life is her family. In her spare time, you will find her spending quality time with her husband, Bryson, and young son, William, playing outside or going for walks in their neighborhood. Tara also has a love of reading and is a member of two local book clubs.

Danae Michaelis has spent the majority of her working life in the service industry, born with a servant’s heart, which drivers her desire to make customers feel like family and leave them with a smile on their face. Danae found her home as a Licensed Customer Service Representative at the Jackson Agency in 2020. She looks forward to the plethora of unique questions and situations that her customers bring her.

Danae grew up in the small town of Akron, Colorado, and later moved to Sterling, Colorado where she played volleyball and attended Northeastern Junior College, where she studied business. She met the love of her life in 2018, and in their free time they enjoy spending time with friends, family and their two dogs. During rifle season Danae can be seen around the country scouting for deer.

Alexis, who prefers to go by Lexi, is a Northeastern Colorado Native, having lived in Sterling her entire life. She joined Jackson Agency in 2021 and quickly became a licensed Customer Service Representative. Lexi has a passion for learning and is eager to continue her career in assisting customers and help guide them through the insurance world to find coverage that best suits their needs. Lexi has an Associates of Science degree in healthcare administration and her past ventures have helped her develop great customer service skills. She describes herself as being organized and task driven taking pride in her ability to effectively listen to customers wants and concerns and always strives to create a positive customer experience.

Lexi loves to spend time with her family and friends any chance she gets. She and her husband, Darren, were married in 2013 and have two daughters. They often describe their daughters as being polar opposites so there is never a dull moment with them. With the kids’ activities and everyone’s busy schedules Lexi makes family nights a priority in their home. It may be game night, movie night or even camp outs in the living room but as long as they are together as a family that’s all that matters. Their family also enjoys taking their two dogs for walks around their neighborhood.
